The 10 Rules

As a community, we expect our members to follow these rules for the common benefit.

  1. Commitment. You have to actively participate in community activities, at least weekly.

  2. Confidentiality. All the information shared inside the groups is treated as confidential.

  3. Industry Overlaps. Business owners in the same general market are allowed in the same group, if they are not competing directly. Example: software development companies.

  4. No Niche Overlaps. Members that are involved in niche businesses should disclose it upfront, so that they will be separated from their direct competitors. Example: companies selling phone unlocking codes.

  5. No Solicitation. Strict prohibition on pitching services, products, investments, or seeking money from fellow members. Transactions will only take place at the buyer's request, provided both parties agree.

  6. Selling Services. You cannot sell your services to other members of your group. You can only exchange them for other work.

  7. Discounted Services. Group members purchasing services from fellow colleagues' businesses expect a 50% discount compared to the regular price for equivalent services provided to external customers. This discount is applicable only when the services are predominantly carried out by employees other than the requesting group member.

  8. Discounted Products. Members buying services or products from colleagues expect to pay only half the markup charged to regular customers. Only by buyer’s request, if both parties agree.

  9. Ethical conduct. Do not use internal information to the detriment of fellow group members. Disclose conflicts of interest promptly.

  10. Accounting. The direct and indirect benefits of community participation should always be accounted for and recognized, at least internally.

Rules enforcement. Violating the rules may lead to reprimand or removal from the community, depending on the gravity of your actions.

The imposed financial limitations aim to discourage members from utilizing the community as a sales channel.
